SLP - The role of the (GP) director
In all securitisations and GP-LP structures it is always the promoter (acting as the GP itself or as an advisor to the GP) or any party appointed by the GP (external manager) that takes care of book-keeping and execution of complex trades, never the Luxembourg administrator. There is not scenario where a director of the GP appointed by the administrator would take investment decisions by itself or an accounting team would take care of keeping track of all investments done in unlisted instruments such as invoices, they will always rely on information provided by the GP or external manager and then only reconcile it.
